Naveen Dwarakanath

Naveen Dwarakanath is a seasoned professional who brings together the rare combination of creative filmmaking expertise and strong corporate leadership experience. With over two decades of experience across the IT industry and cinema, he has built a reputation for creating meaningful visual stories backed by process excellence and strategic clarity.

In the world of cinema, Naveen made a mark as the first short filmmaker from Karnataka to attend the prestigious John Abraham National Award. His children’s film Arivina Haadi (2006) gained international recognition and was screened in Paris and Italy, establishing his storytelling style as one rooted in culture, emotion, and purpose.

Through Aalap Creations, Naveen has directed more than 7 short films and music videos and has produced over 70 corporate advertisements for clients across India, Germany, and Japan. His work reflects a strong balance between artistic creativity and professional execution, making him a trusted name for both cinematic and corporate storytelling.

Naveen also wrote and directed the Kannada feature film For Registration, starring Milana Nagaraj and Pruthvi Ambaar. The film successfully ran for 25 days across multiple countries and later became one of the 20 Kannada films selected for Amazon Prime in 2024. It was further dubbed into Telugu and Malayalam, expanding its reach to a wider audience.

Professionally, Naveen spent 21 years in the global IT industry with leading organizations such as Standard Chartered, GE, and Cognizant, where he gained deep expertise in corporate processes, structured delivery, and leadership. He later co-founded Sama.Ai, where he

currently serves as COO. Sama.Ai specializes in recruitment, training & development, consulting, Six Sigma practices, audits, and change management, with a growing presence across India.
